Overview

The incumbent will be responsible for a multitude of global operational duties including quoting, tracking & tracing, vendor/agent relations, problem resolution, and high-level customer service. Special expertise and experience in international air operations, QMS compliance, air service liaison and report generation.

Responsibilities

  • Client relationship management – Cultivate and sustain strong client relationship; deeply understanding their needs, challenges and objectives
  • Customized solution – Collaborate with internal teams to craft a customized solution; tailored to client needs; enriching their supply chain.
  • Communication – Serve as primary contact for key client, offering timely error free updates, addressing enquiries and efficiently resolving issues within the required timeframe.
  • Cross functional collaboration – Coordinating closely with internal departments including operations, sales, customer service etc. Ensuring seamless service and client satisfaction.
  • Negotiating Skills – Vendor negotiation and management maintaining profitability while ensuring competitive pricing.
  • Performance analytics – Monitor key account performance matrix, analyse data and provide client with insight to optimize their supply chain efficiency.
  • Ensure all data/information is promptly received and actioned upon with no variance resulting in no delay leading to any unwanted additional cost to both the company as well as the client. To avoid any penalties or additional payouts for any unwarranted delay.
  • Issue resolution – Swiftly tackle and resolve issues or concerns, collaborating with internal teams to deliver effective solution.

Key Relationships 

  • Coordination with the Airlines for shipment departure and arrival status. Coordinating with them for DO Payment and release. Coordinate for segregation report.
  • Handle all operation related activities including engaging with client, DO release, billing, airline discussion, payment follow ups etc..
  • Coorinating with vendor for services and rates; following up on clearance and movement.
  • Coordinating with vendor for vehicle and WG details.
  • Coordinating with vendor to ensure deliveries are happening without any delays or notable concerns.
  • Coordinating with surveyors to ensure cargo is arrived and received in damage free condition. The same is updated to the customer accordingly.
  • Liaising with customer for the delivery appointment and arrange vehicle and WG accordingly.

Other Skills We Hope to See:

  • Graduate or equivalent
  • 3-5 Years Freight Forwarding experience preferred
  • Ability to analyze numerical data and understand components, relationships, find patterns and draw conclusions.
  • Basic knowledge of CargoWise preferred
  • Basic knowledge of freight movement, air vendors, air space configurations, container loads, special loading constraints, regulatory requirements, pricing, service routings, AIT product offerings, equipment types, incoterms, and shipment profitability.
  • Basic knowledge of country regulations and policies & procedures that minimize risks to the customer and company.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide using units of currency, weight, volume, and distance measurements.
  • Basic technical skills - MS Office suite 
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret verbal and written requests/directions.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a variety of people; can effectively present information in one-on-one settings.
  • Time management to meet customer deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
